Working With Montgomery County

The Bryn Athyn Church School benefits in many ways from its relationship with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU). Perhaps the most evident services we receive from the MCIU are the speech therapist, Amy McDonald, and the counselor, Peg McHugh, who work with our students each week. We also benefit from training sessions offered throughout the year by the MCIU. Individual teachers take advantage of these offerings in Norristown to learn more about educational resources and teaching strategies. This past week, we were privileged to have two of their specialists visit our faculty and lead a meeting about educational approaches to students on the autism spectrum. We are fortunate to have the MCIU as a resource.
