The Seventh Grade Carnival

carnival-2016The seventh grade held their carnival last Friday afternoon. The school community turned out to see what the class had in store and were not disappointed. The students had been working hard preparing games and activities. In many ways putting on the carnival is a rite of passage for the seventh graders. It is the first time that they, now as upper unit students, serve in a leadership role at the school. They are no longer the students playing the games or having their faces painted. They are now the “older students” running the games and painting the faces. One of my favorite parts of the carnival is seeing the seventh graders in their new role helping the young customers. This group did a great job, encouraging the younger children and making sure that everyone was having a great afternoon. Thanks to everyone who supported the seventh grade and helped them earn their way to Gettysburg this spring.
