Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is designated as Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s an item that appears on US calendars every year, but this year it feels different. I have been impressed over and over again with the work of our teachers through this period of remote learning. They have been asked to completely rework their curriculums, to provide a new version of their program though online platforms many were unfamiliar with, and to do it away from their classrooms and materials. They have responded in amazing ways. They have shown resilience, ingenuity, leadership and creativity, all in an effort to give their beloved students the best experience they can. These teachers are working hard. I hope they know how much they are appreciated.
