Seeing Christmas in Our Halls

If someone asked you to show them what Christmas was all about, how would you respond?  I would suggest that, given the opportunity, you might want to lead them into the front hallway of the Bryn Athyn Church School.  In that hallway is a lovely diorama.  It is where each morning the primary teachers reveal another scene of the nativity story and the students reverently discuss the story before them as part of their morning worship.  Also in the same hallway is a growing collection of toys, stuffed animals, games, and books.  All of these have been brought in by students and community members for the USMC’s Toys for Tots program.  BACS has been a long time supporter of the Toys for Tots program and we are proud that each year we can help the Marines to make a child’s holiday a little brighter.  It is striking that right there, in our small entranceway, one can both witness the wonder and innocence of children learning about the Lord’s birth and can also see the spirit of giving in action.  It’s a pretty nice place to stand every morning, especially this time of year.
