School Is Open!

The 2014-15 school year officially opened on Tuesday, August 26th. The faculty and staff were excited to see all 279 of our students bring life and energy back to our building. The day began with an opening worship led by school pastor, Rev Phil Schnarr, introducing this year’s school theme, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.” Following worship and a welcoming address from the principal were two of our school opening traditions. The eighth graders presented the incoming kindergarteners with flowers and the adults sang an emotional rendition of Humbly, Lord We Ask Thy Blessing to the student body. The students then marched to their classrooms to settle into their new school year.
