Looking Forward to a New Building

Last Friday, after our whole school outdoor chapel, I was able to officially announce to the students that a new school building is coming. It was fun to hear them ooh and ah over the pictures as I held them up. At the end of the day some students also beckoned their parents over to the displayed renderings to show them what their new school will be like. I expect for some of students the next couple years will feel agonizingly slow as we proceed towards the completion of the project. Most probably don’t know that this process began four years ago, before about half of them ever attended school, or that conversations about improving our facilities have been going on since long before they were born. It is thrilling to reralize that we have finally reached this stage in the process. If the students are excited now, I wonder what move-in day will be like.
