Fall Term Complete

Our first marking period came to an end last Wednesday. I’m sure that to some students it seems like the year just began and to others it feels like we have been here for much longer than just twelve weeks. The progress of time can be deceptive that way, especially when tracking seemingly long periods such as an elementary school student’s academic year. It is helpful to have mile posts along the way to help the students track their progress. The end of a term can be one of those reference points. Teachers are now working hard preparing the fall term report cards. While the format of these reports varies depending on grade level each allows parents and students to see the many ways in which the students are progressing both academically and non-academically. The students have accomplished a lot already this year. I am looking forward to the next two terms.
