Another COVID Detour

When BACS returned from spring break two weeks ago, there were reasons to be optimistic. The weather was starting to feel like spring, vaccination appointments were becoming available to teachers in large numbers, and government agencies were discussing reducing certain guidelines. Some of us began to set our eyes towards a finish line somewhere on the horizon, but, unfortunately, we were handed another detour last weekend when we learned that several members of our school community had contracted the virus. Based on instructions from the health department we are back online until after the Easter holiday. Pivoting and being online can be hard on students, parents and the staff. I continue to be impressed and appreciative of the flexibility and support that people have shown over the past year. We are looking forward to being back onsite next week.
