Application Process

The Bryn Athyn Church School seeks to provide children with an education based on the teaching of the New Church to prepare them to become confident, caring, and useful citizens of this world and the Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom.

Enrollment is open to the children of New Church parents and parents who are new to the faith and who demonstrate a sincere interest in its teachings. We welcome inquiries from parents who appreciate the unique nature of the teachings of the New Church and who are interested in learning more, participating in the life of the Church, and taking an active role in their children’s religious education. We invite you to discover what the Bryn Athyn Church School can do for your children.

The Bryn Athyn Church School operates with the conviction that parents and teacher have a profound impact on the mental and spiritual development of young minds.  It is important for a child’s spiritual development that there is harmony of religious faith and practice between home and school.

Attending church services in Bryn Athyn is a wonderful way to become familiar with the New Church and its teachings, as well as begin to make connections and friends in the Bryn Athyn community.  Here is a list of our church services.

New Church Overview:
In order to support understanding and harmony for the child, one of the first steps in application for a child is that parents attend a New Church Overview class that is offered once a month on Saturday morning.  This is a casual opportunity for a New Church minister to help you understand the tenets of the New Church, and to gain clarity around the impact of these teachings on our education.

Here are the dates for New Church Overview: These are all Saturday mornings starting at 9:00.  The class runs for 2-3 hours.
