Toy Drive

We have learned that our local branch of Toys for Tots, which we have contributed to for many years, is no longer in operation. This news was sad for many of our teachers, parents, and community members, so we looked around to find an alternative. This year we will be collecting toys for The Drueding Center, which we have contributed food to during many recent Thanksgivings. The Drueding Center provides transitional housing and ongoing support to women and children who are homeless. Their program, located in North Philadelphia, differs from homeless shelters in that its goal is to support families to find permanent housing. This includes support in education, employment, health, life skills, child care, locating affordable housing, and ongoing support for the graduates of the residential program. We are excited to be a part of this act of giving. If you would like to contribute to our collection, a bin is available daily outside our front entrance until December 18th.
