Conversations with Parents

I was able to spend time over the past week phoning each family in the school to check in on how their children are settling into the new school year. It was time well spent as it gave me another opportunity to connect with our families and more importantly for me to hear their perspective on their children’s experience at school. These calls gave me some ideas for things that we can tweak in the future as well as a clearer sense of how many things are going well here at BACS. I get to see smiling faces in the halls every morning but it nice to hear from the parents how much the students are enjoying the year so far. I also learned by making these calls that most people assume when they get a phone call from the principal that something is wrong. I apologize for startling you parents. Thanks again for the conversations.

 BACS Picnic (and Charity Fundraiser)

The Bryn Athyn Church School will be having their annual picnic on Friday, September 28th from 5:00-7:30pm at the BACS athletic fields. This traditional gathering has proven to be a nice opportunity to connect with old friends, meet new friends, and welcome new families to our school.

Similarly to last year, in addition to bringing your own picnic dinner you also have the option of purchasing hot dogs, along with chips and water, through our charity fundraiser. The funds we raise from these sales will be given to the Flood Relief Efforts in India, the New Church high school being established in Lesotho and to the Bryn Athyn Church’s emergency relief fund.

We look forward to seeing you at this relaxed, fun-filled evening. All are welcome.
