BACS Debuts at the Reading Olympics

Last Wednesday evening two teams from BACS competed in the Montgomery County Reading Olympics, an event which included representatives from 32 area schools. Our sixteen students faced off against other schools in three rounds of questions based on a list of 45 books. The participants in their team shirts and all the spectators cheering them on generated a palpable energy about reading. This was the first year our school has taken part in this event and there already seems to be momentum behind continuing in the future. The school is grateful to our librarians, Kelly Austin and Shannon Good, for the effort they put into making this happen. Our students represented our school well.
